I haven't looked at the solutions yet, but I don't think I did very well. Problem 1: Not sure about my answers, especially for (b) where I couldn't find a closed form, and I didn't have enough time to give an explanation for partial credit. Problem 2: I thought this was a nice question though I spent too long on it. I guess there may not be unique answers, but that's okay. Problem 3: This was broken down nicely and was certainly doable. Problem 4: Good. and quick to do. Some of these were from last year's quiz or something else they should be reviewing, so that's good for those who did all the preparation. Problem 5: I got thrown off with (a) since it asks for the number of possible digit distributions where the problem setup didn't talk about anything but two sequences having the *same* digit distribution. So I thought I was supposed to find the number of sequences with the same digit distributions, and especially because it was worth 14 points.
