Practice Quiz Problems Posted
We've posted some quiz problems from previous years, some with solutions [PS|PDF]. These will give you an idea of the format and type of quiz questions that can occur on the quiz, although the content will be based on this year's lecture content.

Problem Set 1 solutions posted

Error on Problem Set 2
There is a typo on Problem 4(c) of Problem Set 2. Part (c) should say that a and b are values from Z_q^* (not Z_p^*) and that k is computed modulo q (not mod p). The PDF has been updated to reflect this.

Individual Project Sketches posted
The individual project ideas submitted by the class have been posted here. They are password-protected by the same password as the lecture notes. We encourage you to read through ideas your classmates have proposed for inspiration and for help finding like-minded people with whom to work. The course staff will be reviewing each proposal and sending individual feedback.

Number Theory Supplementary Questions Available
For a review of number theory concepts, look at the supplementary number theory questions from Fall 2006. [PS|PDF]. These are not to be handed in.
