6.840/18.404J is the graduate level introduction to the theory of computation at MIT.

Meeting times and places

There are two lectures every week: TR 11-12:30 in 2-190.

Two sections also meet each week:

  1. Undergradute: R2:30 in 24-307 (Given by Alex)
  2. Graduate: F10 in 38-166 (Given by Parry)

Course calendar

  1. In-class midterm examination occured on October 31, 1995.
  2. There will be a review session for the final on Thursday, December 14, at 2pm in NE43-308 (the conference room on the 3rd floor). We may have to move at 3pm. If we move, there will be a note on the door of 308 giving the new room.
  3. The final examination is set for Monday December 18, 1995 at 9am in 2-190. (Check this information.)
