6.170 / Anonymous Comments Form

This web form will let you send anonymous comments to some or all of the 6.170 staff. Your comments will be sent in a mostly anonymous email (details below).

First of all, we much prefer non-anonymous comments. Communication works best if it's two-way. However, if for some reason you only feel comfortable with making a comment anonymously, you may use this form. (For instance, you may want to criticize a staff member for something they did, or you may want to praise a staff member for something they did without fear of conflict of interest.)

Use this form for feedback comments only. Do not use it to ask questions. If you have questions, you must send regular mail instead, or you can just contact a staff member directly.

The staff will not answer anonymous questions.

Again, we will not reply to any questions asked with this form, but we welcome any comments and feedback you may have that does not need a reply.

One good test of whether a comment is appropriate is whether it ends in a question mark. If it does, email us normally or contact a staff member directly. Nothing you send with this form should end with a question mark.

Remember: You will not receive a response regarding these comments. If you want a response, send regular email instead.

Note: The IP address of the computer your web browser is on will be sent with the headers of the mail. This means that if you use your personal computer to send this, the comment will not be fully anonymous. We promise not to use that information to track you down, but we mention it here because if you are really concerned about anonymity, you should consider submitting this form from an athena cluster or public computer.

If you are at home or off campus, you could also write your comments from an athena.dialup machine, using a text based web browser, such as lynx from the infoagents locker, or links from the sipb locker.
