- [May 19] The Final Exam is tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20, from 9am - 12noon in the Johnson Ice Rink (Upstairs). The exam is cumulative and covers all material except for that from the guest lectures (as noted on the calendar). Note that the NLP lecture was a guest lecture and has been marked now as such. The exam is open note.
Office hours will be tonight in 36-144 from 5-7 if you have any questions.

- [Apr 9] Project 2 has been released on the Online Tutor, and can be accessed by clicking on the "Choose a Project" option on the Tutor's main page. Deadlines for Project 2 are as follows: the first report is due April 23rd, the second report is due April 30th, and the interviews are on May 2nd.
- [Apr 1] Office hours today (1st April) will be in the area in front of 32-G451 at the usual hours (6-8pm).
- [Mar 11] Quiz 1 grade histogram is available here. The average is 80.
- [Mar 4] Office hours tonight will be in 36-112 from 6pm-8pm. Note the change of location. Feel free to drop by with questions about any material covered by the exam tomorrow.
- [Mar 4] Before today, the Quiz 1 review handout PDF posted on the handouts page had an error in it and if you opened it on a Mac, pages that had been deleted (containing questions on material not covered in class) were visible. This has now been corrected.
- [Mar 3] The midterm on March 5th is open notes - you can bring lecture and recitation handouts from the current 6.034 class (not previous years), and your own handwritten notes.
- [Mar 2] Project 1 deadlines have been extended. The first report is now due on 10th March, and the final report on 17th March.
- [Mar 2] Those of you running the project 1 source (if downloaded before today) on MIT scheme would have encountered an error about a missing backprop.scm file. The file is not required for the project, and was incorrectly referenced by compile-learn.scm. This reference has now been removed and the project zip/tar.gz files updated. You can either comment out offending line in compile-learn.scm or download the corrected file from here
- [Feb 26] Project 1 has been released on the Online Tutor, and can be accessed by clicking on the "Choose a Project" option on the Tutor's main page.
- The missing load.ss file for DrScheme version 372 installations is available here. You need to copy it to the collects/slibinit/ folder in your DrScheme installation directory.
- The 6.034 extension libraries for DrScheme have been updated to include the missing load.ss file. The extension library version is now 2.15.
- The DrScheme installation instructions have been updated with installation instructions for linux.
- Before you can login to the Online Tutor, you need to create an account for yourself by registering here.
- Please select your prefered recitation time in the first lesson (Chapter 1) on the Online Tutor.
- The on-line problem sets are due at midnight on Wednesdays. This means late
Wednesday night. For exact dates, please check the problem set itself, or see the Calendar.
- Office hours are posted on the Schedules page.
- The slides available through the "Chapters" link on the Online Tutor is material from the previous years of this course. While useful and relevant, they may not correspond to this year's lectures or cover the same subject matter.
